Shannon Littlejohn Burnes

I was born and raised a country girl, but ended up settling in Toronto’s High Park area with my husband and two kiddos who keep me on my toes!

I’ve always been active and I’m raising active kids too! My obsessions include my peloton, strength training with friends, and swearing by pilates to keep my low back feeling good. I’m an extrovert who thrives on connection and value my relationships with friends and family.

As a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT),  I am a certified Gunn-IMS (dry needling) practitioner and have specialized training in Acupuncture. This extensive training and unique skillset allows me to pull from various modalities during the time we are working together.

Giving back to the Physiotherapy profession is something I take pride in, through mentoring Physiotherapists and teaching within the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Teaching always helps to keep my skills sharp and undoubtedly makes me a better clinician.

I really enjoy working with an active population who’s engaged in their treatment. I look forward to helping return you to whatever your favourite sport or activity may be!

Hi! I am a physiotherapist with a strong emphasis on empowering every client, desk worker, weekend warrior, or elite athlete to achieve their physical activity goals.

I come from a background of strength and conditioning and have worked with athletes in the NHL, AAU circuit, OJHL, Ultimate Canada, and Volleyball Canada, amongst others.

Through my training and unique skillset, I am able to collaborate with each client to ensure they understand the why of what’s happening, the how of combating it, and the way in which physiotherapy will address their goal. I am a firm believer of exercise as medicine and will work with every client to ensure that each exercise is personalized, achievable within their workspace or time constraints, and with as much or little equipment as is available.

Certifications:

  • Graston Technique M1

  • Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Program: Level 2 Lower & Upper

  • Acupuncture & Dry Needling

  • Advanced Movement Therapist: Level 1

Outside of work I enjoy biking, photography, and cafe-hopping across the city.

Dr. Brian Wright, DC

Hi there! I’ve always been fascinated by the way the body moves, adapts, and heals, especially when the nervous system and musculoskeletal system are working in sync. I have now been practicing as a chiropractor since 2018, after graduating from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College here in Toronto.

Over the years, I’ve developed a special interest in helping patients find relief from headaches and migraines, using a combination of chiropractic care, acupuncture, and targeted treatment strategies to address both the symptoms and their underlying causes.

I approach every patient as a unique story, not just a set of symptoms. Whether you’re dealing with persistent back pain, neck tension, recurring headaches, or postural concerns, I take the time to understand not just what hurts, but why it’s happening. From there, we build a personalized plan that aligns with your lifestyle and goals.

I also provide custom orthotics to support proper biomechanics from the ground up, helping improve alignment, reduce strain, and enhance overall movement.

My approach blends hands-on chiropractic care, acupuncture, movement education, and individualized rehab strategies, all grounded in clear communication and genuine partnership. You’ll always be an active participant in your recovery, with the tools and knowledge to keep progressing outside of our sessions.

When I’m not in the clinic, you can find me hosting board game nights with friends, exploring Toronto’s food scene, or swimming laps at the local pool, because I believe living well is a lifelong adventure.

Let’s work together to help you feel better in your body and get back to doing what you love most!

Hello!

It’s great to meet you- I’m excited to be the newest edition to the Resilience team! I come with over 20 years of experience in both Canada and Australia in clinical practice, teaching, research, and leadership roles in physiotherapy. While I’m so happy to be back in Toronto, I still have very strong connections with my friends, family and colleagues down under!

I am a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) as well as a Musculoskeletal Specialist Physiotherapist awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapy in 2015. I am the immediate past Chair of Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and a past chair of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia. I’m an examiner, complex case study marker and case study advisor for the Australian College of Physiotherapy, an Adjunct Clinical Professor at McMaster and I am involved in teaching at the University of Toronto. My published research is in whiplash associated disorders and pain sensitivity measures, and I continue to bring the latest evidence into my clinical practice as best I can.

I’m passionate about making sense of people’s unique circumstances that led them to physiotherapy and using manual therapy, movement and exercise to bring them towards recovery and better health.

I look forward to meeting you and working with you to achieve your goals.

Hi there! I am a registered physiotherapist and a graduate of the University of Toronto’s MScPT program.

I became interested in a career as a physiotherapist during my undergraduate studies while volunteering for a mental health counselling service. It was at this time that I came to understand the huge link between emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

As such, I value a holistic physiotherapy treatment style that not only includes a combination of treatment techniques but also takes into account my client’s circumstances, goals, and priorities.

Outside of the clinic I like to spend time doing pilates, bullet journalling, or playing the piano. I’m also a big foodie, and am always looking for new cafe and restaurant recommendations!

Virtual Assistant

Rachel Miller

Hi!

I'm originally from Ontario, and my family and I moved to Nova Scotia in 2021.

When I'm not working my virtual assistant jobs, I'm playing with and caring for my son and daughter. My husband and I love spending our days outside with our kids, either exploring our forest, running around our yard or heading to the beach. My family thrives when we're outside.
